About The Nature Love

Even as a child, I grew up experimenting with amateur elixir recipes from the fruits of citrus gardens. My father was an agricultural engineer and he provided me with all essential information on mother earth and plants. I obtained my fascination with natural fragrances from my grandmother’s garden and my fascination with soap from my wanderer aunt, who asked me for soap as souvenirs from anywhere I travelled. I got to experience a myriad of different soaps, and I mean real soaps… I searched for the best of the best soap everywhere, inhaled their smell, watched them latter… 

As the result of an unfortunate experience in 2006, my skin was exposed to chemical toxins and I was hospitalized with serious skin injuries. My doctors wanted me to make drastic lifestyle changes. Just as the food I ate, my skin absorbed anything I put on it. The soap that lathered in my hand, the lotion I smeared all over my body, the shampoo I washed my hair with, everything needed to be organic, and more importantly food-grade quality. Hence, Ayurvedic medicine suggests “If You Can’t Eat It, Don’t Put It On Your Skin.” Eventually, skin is the largest and the most toxin-exposed organ in our bodies. 

These lifestyle changes led me to search for products that were organic but still fragrant and smelled nice. I met this brand called Durance from the Provence region in France, which produced 95+%organic soap and cosmetic products. Encompassing the famous French 

Riviera, Provence is famous for its organically grown lavender fields and olive groves. In time I became a representative of Durance, one of the oldest beauty brands from the region. In the 12 years I worked with Durance, I got to travel to Provence frequently, workshop with chemists from Durance in soap making sessions, work with essential oils distillers of Florame, attend natural perfume making classes…

I started to play around with essential oils I brought from Provence and started my first soap making experiments. While I’ve made many bars that didn’t lather at all or crumbled the second you touched them, I discovered a passion in myself to make the ultimate soap that would be suitable for everyone. 

Overtime I improved my recipes, started growing my own small-batch lavender and aromatic herbs in my garden in Bodrum, studied the wonders of olive oil and discovered what other vegetable oils can do for skin… Sharing this passion with family and friends, I started making custom made products for them. The more they were satisfied with my skincare products, the more products I wanted to make and share with people. As opposed to synthetic soaps we’ve been using for years, I’ve discovered the miracle of authentic soap and wanted to share this experience with you…

Since I live in the USA part time, I named my brand “The Nature Love” and started my path to being a 57 year old entrepreneur. My ultimate purpose is to raise awareness about contents of self care products. I want more people to experience the magic of cold-processed herbal oils, to simplify their routines and use locally-sourced products…
